Can you keep a secret? The best breakfasts in London are being served up every day of the week in Newington Green.

We’d ask you not to tell anyone else about Acoustic Café on Newington Green. Finding a table at this place on weekends is already hard and we’d hate to miss out on our chorizo omelette with peppers, shallots and new potatoes.

The soya milk porridge served with fresh berries, banana and honey is also a great alternative to the ever-popular Acoustic Breakfast of poached eggs, avocado, fresh tomatoes, roasted mushroom with hint of garlic and ciabatta.

A taste for world cuisine is now recognised as an integral part of the Newington Green lifestyle. From the Spanish tapas, sherries and wine served in the bohemian-style surroundings of Trangallan to Trattoria Sapoli’s thin crust pizzas, food and drink are two of Newington Green’s big attractions.

This vital ingredient of London’s lifestyle is now being taken to a new level by the emergence of food and drink festivals that are taking place in all corners of the city this month.

Here, we recommend three food and drink events taking place within easy reach of Newington Green later this month…
