Stoke Newington gets a magic-themed coffee shop
“Coffee for one, please.”
“Coming right up. Would you like an optical illusion with that?”
Yes, the UK’s first magic-themed coffee shop has recently opened in Stoke Newington, and it’s well worth a visit.
The Twisted Fork is the brainchild of Richard Clark, a member of The Magic Circle, and the venue is a pleasing new addition to Stoke Newington High Street.
It’s a coffee shop, so you can indulge in everything from coffee and pastries to sandwiches and hearty brunch dishes. But there’s also magic and mystery, entertainment, and mind-bending conjuring tricks on offer.
From floating plates to disappearing playing cards, expect the unexpected in Stoke Newington’s newest café.
And if magic and illusion aren’t really your cup of coffee, then you’ll be pleased to hear that the coffee is excellent, and the magic is optional.
The Magic Circle is an international club for magicians and those who promote the art of magic and illusion. Formed in 1905, the club is based in London and gives magicians a place to meet and present shows.
Now, Richard Clark has brought what he knows about the art of magic and illusion into a coffee shop setting.
Prepare to be dazzled and amazed.
